Hello, everyone! The best place to find a helping hand is at the end of your own arm. Many of us feel detached and shredded in our daily lives, often looking for something more that can not be found in money, job, material items or other relationships.


I have learnt some few simple, but effective phrases which help me to keep things in perspective. Let’s get into the do’s and don’ts for being happy.



1.Do more of what makes you happy. That’s because anything is better when it can be done with a smile.

2.Talk about happy times in the past.Bring up some of your happiest memories with your closed ones and you will feel great.

3.Do open up to relationships. But not too far. We enter a relationship and begin to devote so much time to them that we end up forsaking and neglecting other areas of life. Explore your passions and have a life outside of your relationship.

4.Be patient. Do travel one step at a time and reach for one goal at a time.

5.Surround yourself with mementos of the past.Whether it’s photos on your walls or souvenirs, carefully selected items that remind you of happy times will give you a boost whenever you look at them.

6.Live in present.Don’t wait for something to make you happy, enjoy every moment of your life.

7.Think positively.Don’t be a negative thinker. The keys to success are hidden in dark places, but you have a flashlight to find them – it’s your positive mindset. Turn it on!

8.Be forgiving.Do be understanding and forgiving. If you do love yourself, forgive others to let go of the hurt.

9.Make that decision.Sometimes it doesn’t actually matter too much what you decide. What matters is getting off the fence, making up your mind and moving forward.

10.Get out in nature.Taking time to appreciate the flowers and listen to the birds is an extra shot of happiness.

11.Learn to say NO.When you are constantly meeting the demands of others you are probably not paying enough attention to you.

12.Get enough vitamin B and whole grains.The vitamin B found in leafy greens, dairy products & Complex carbohydrates like those found in whole grains are automatic mood-boosters.

13.Be loving and friendly.Do be compassionate and sociable.Do be self-confident and kind. Find happiness in helping other people grow and shine.

14.Learn from achievers.Learning breeds happiness, enjoy learning and learn to enjoy.

15.Enjoy what you have.The less you want to possess, the richer you are.

16.Prioritize what matters.Don’t let yourself be so distracted by TV or social media or answering emails that you fail to do what’s important to you.

3.Don’t compare yourself with others. It is because we are different that each of us is special.

4.Don’t dwell on past mistakes.Leave yesterday behind you.Along with any of its problems, worries, and doubts.

5.Don’t ever stop dreaming your dreams.They are the essential part of you.

6.Don’t Work or play until your body is virtually crying out for food. Ever get so involved in something that you don’t realize until hours later that you’ve forgotten to eat? This can lead to irritability.

7.Don’t be scared to use your voice.Those who have what they want have it because they were unafraid to have the confidence to speak up and ask for it!

8.Don’t be afraid to do the impossible.Even if others don’t think you’ll succeed.

13.Don’t spend mindlessly. It is one thing to treat yourself to something fun once and awhile.

14.Don’t set your goals by what other people reckon importantly. Only do what is best for you.

15.Don’t run through life so fast that you forget not only where you have been, but also where you are going. Life is not a race, but a journey to be savored each step of the way.

Rice water is said to be an inexpensive, effective beauty balm for promoting skin cell growth, stimulating blood flow, and slowing down the aging process.This ancient Asian secret has been used for centuries by women as a hair and skin treatment and even taken internally for health benefits.Rice has vitamins B, C and E as well as minerals and eight essential amino acids that promote overall health as well as beauty.


Traditionally, female rice farmers in China, Japan, and other Southeast Asian countries used to bathe and wash in the water used for cleaning rice.In simple terms, rice water is the milky white solution you get after soaking or boiling rice. It can be concentrated, diluted or even fermented to bring out most of its benefits.Regardless of your method, strain the rice after the allotted time, reserving the water.Let’s get into the uses and benefits of rice water for hair and skin.


There are 3 simple methods to prepare rice water. You just need 2 ingredients that are 1/2 cup uncooked rice (brown, white long grain, white short grain, jasmine, basmati or whatever you have) and 2 cups of water.

1.Rinse the rice with about a cup of water to remove any dirt or impurities.Then, place 1/2 cup of uncooked rice in a bowl and cover with water. Let the rice soak for 15 to 30 minutes. Swirl it around and lightly knead it until the water turns cloudy.Strain out the rice water into a clean bowl or container. You can store your rice water in an air-tight container in the refrigerator for a few up to a week.

2.To make fermented rice water, prepare rice water according to the method listed above and allow it to sit in a jar at room temperature for one or two days (in warmer climates, the fermentation process will take less time). When a slightly sour smell arises from the rice water, stop the fermentation process by keeping the solution in the refrigerator and use this rice water for skin toning or as a hair rinse.Fermented rice water is very potent, so it’s best to dilute it with 1-2 cups of warm water before using it.

3.Next time you make rice, don’t throw away the water. After the rice has cooked, strain it out.The leftover water will be a vivid white color and will contain a high concentration of nutrients.Dilute a few tablespoons of this concentrated rice water into a cup of clean water, making a barely milky-looking mixture.Use this diluted solution to wash your face or to treat your hair, and store the leftover concentrate in the refrigerator in a covered container for up to one week.

1.Use rice water as part of your face and body cleanser.(e.g.mix rice water and few drops of any essential oil to make your own face and body wash).
2. You can also use it as a part of your moisturizing face mask and can add few drops of any essential oil(I personally prefer to use lavender oil).
3.Soak a cotton ball thoroughly in rice water and gently massage it into your skin for a couple of minutes. Going to bed with freshly applied rice water is said to increase benefits. Let your face dry naturally.With regular use, you will notice your skin feeling soft, tight, and radiant.

4.You can also use rice water as a toner. Soak a cotton ball or pad and apply to face after cleansing to minimize the appearance of pores and tighten skin. This natural skin toner promotes cell growth, stimulates blood flow, and helps keep your skin smooth and bright.
5.Treat your skin to a DIY spa with rice bath. Fill a small muslin bag with 1/2 cup rice and some dried lavender flowers. You can add some basil leaves, green tea, lemon peels or Neem leaves.Place the muslin bag into the water and soak in the tub to cleanse, relax and rejuvenate your body.
6.Make a body scrub by using the rice leftover from making the rice water. To create the scrub, grind the rice and mix it with 1 or 2 teaspoons of olive oil and lemon juice (you can add a few drops of your favorite essential oil) and rub it into the skin to exfoliate and nourish.

7.The starch components in rice water are effective in easing the effects of eczema on your skin. Dip a clean washcloth into the water and pat all over the affected skin. Continue doing this for a couple of minutes and make sure you air dry it.
8.Rice water is also used for cooling inflammations and burnt skin.Cold rice water, in such cases, is preferred.

9.Apply rice water on rashes or other skin inflammation to soothe it naturally.Taking a 15-minute bath with rice water twice a day could improve the condition significantly.

3.Rice water contains natural saponins so it can be used as a shampoo. Simply add 1 teaspoon of apple juice/lime juice/amla powder/shikakai powder/lime peel powder/green tea in 1 cup of rice water and use it as a shampoo on your hair.
4.Rice water can also be used as a hair conditioner. Add a few drops of rosemary, lavender, or geranium essential oil to the rice water and apply all over your tresses. Let it stay for 10 minutes and then wash off with cold water.
